Conclusion Paragraph
The conclusion paragraph connects the introduction and body paragraphs. It needs to bring a sense of closure to the composition. The conclusion paragraph can "make or break" the composition's effectiveness. If the paragraph finishes weak, the reader may not remember the main ideas made earlier.
Summarize the Main Points and Restate the Position
The writer needs to summarize the main points and restate the topic to help remind the reader.
Tie It Together
This last sentence concludes the composition and ties it all together by referring back to the "hook" in the introduction paragraph.
The sentence should be much more than just a restatement of the "hook", and the reader should be able to understand its connection to the "hook". A quotation can be an effective concluding sentence when tied back to the "hook".
