2007 SCHOOL-WIDE WRITING ASSIGNMENT
Each year the school will focus on a different type of writing. The school will collect a sample of that writing at the December LR Meeting, then score according to the school rubric, and save as our school writing samples. All students may participate, but 2nd to 11th graders, and 12th graders who have not yet passed CAHSEE ELA are required to participate. The school hopes to improve everyone's writing skills through this process.
Narrative Writing: Essential Handouts ESs are required to give each parent/student the four handouts in this column below.	Narrative Writing: Instruction and Practice Materials ESs need to make sure each parent/student is aware of the Instruction & Practice Materials in this column, that each parent/student is shown these links, and that the ES prints and provides the materials to any parent/student who wants them. Highly recommended, but not required.	Narrative Writing: Web Links ESs need to make sure each parent/student is aware of the Response to Literature Web Links in this column.
