Non-Enrolling Student vs. a No Attendance Drop
Non-enrolling
student
If a prospective student does
not enroll in the school (does not meet with an ES to complete all required
enrollment paperwork), then he/she is considered a no-show. Follow the
directions below based on your student’s current status in ES Webfiles.
No
Attendance Drop
Sometimes a prospective
student fills out enrollment paperwork to become an active student, yet does
not accrue any attendance days after the initial enrollment meeting. When this
happens, the student is marked as active rather than prospective in ES
Webfiles. Follow the correct process below.
Unenroll/Drop Procedures
Sometimes ESs are unable to
reach a prospective family to sign them up; other times an ES will meet with
the family and sign them up and then lose contact with them. Below are the processes you should follow
should this happen. Keep in mind that you
must document the times and ways you tried to contact these families, and do
let your Advisor know what is happening as well.
When you cannot contact a
family, follow and document the process you follow listed in : http://www.sscs.cc/Handbook/studentenrollment/inistuasspol.htm
. A good rule of thumb is that if you
are unable to reach a prospective family after 2 weeks of trying to contact
them using all of the methods at the above webpage link, you should let the office
know that they are not enrolling.
1.) Prospective student that
is NOT to be activated
·
ES
emails THERESA at sa@ieminc.org to do an Unenrollment. Copy your advisor on this email.
·
When
emailing Theresa for this situation, please use the following email template:
ü
EMAIL
SUBJECT LINE: “Unenrollment request for [student’s
name and number]”
ü
BODY
OF THE EMAIL: “[Student name/number] is not enrolling at [school]. I was unable to reach the family by phone or
email after [#] attempts of trying to contact them.”
ü
Remember
to copy your advisor. The unenrollment will not be processed until your Advisor
concurs.
2.) Active student with no
attendance claimed
