Dear Parents,

On (date) from (time frame), (student name) will be CAHSEE tested. In order for a student to graduate with a high school diploma they must pass the CAHSEE exam in Math and English Language Arts. Students have several attempts to pass the CAHSEE exam beginning in their 10th grade year. Students have their first attempt in Spring of 10^th grade, 2 attempts in 11^th grade and 3 attempts in their final year, 12^th grade.
