UC won't require SAT Subject
Tests for fall 2012 admission, but you may submit scores on these if you want
to show your mastery of a particular subject. Some campuses may recommend
certain Subject Tests for some competitive majors. Also, you may use them to
satisfy "a-g"
requirements listed
above.
Most applicants who are admitted meet the standards in each of
the following areas:
Some
CSU campuses have higher standards for particular majors or for students who live outside the local campus area. Because
of the number of students who apply, a
few campuses have higher standards (supplementary admission criteria) for all
applicants. Many CSU campuses utilize local admission
guarantee policies for students who graduate or transfer from high schools and
community colleges that are historically served by a CSU campus in that region.
High School Subject
Requirements
The CSU requires a
minimum 15-unit pattern of courses for admission as a first-time freshman. Each
unit is equal to a year of study in a subject area. A grade of C
or higher is required for each course you use to meet any subject requirement.
