Welcome to the South Sutter Charter School web site.
South Sutter Charter School (SSCS) is a WASC accredited charter school managed by Innovative Education Management (IEM). The school is part of the IEM family of Parent Choice charter schools that thousands of families have chosen for their children in grades K through 12 since 1993. SSCS was approved as an independent study charter by the California Department of Education in 2005. The school serves students in Sutter, Butte, Colusa, Placer, Sacramento, Yolo, and Yuba counties.

California has recently launched a significant change to how schools are funded. This new funding model uses a new formula designed to provide more local control over spending. As a result, each district (in our case, each school) is required to create a Local Control Accountability Plan called the LCAP. As part of our schools' continuing effort to engage stakeholders and capture parent, guardian and community input on the LCAP, the IEM Schools have developed a LCFF/LCAP Advisory Information website to explain the new state law, post information as it becomes available, and gather feedback from you as our plan is created.
SSCS is Fully Accredited by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
